Panorama FC’s ladies claim 3–1 victory

Hellenic Falcons FC faced defeat after Panorama ladies dominated their second half and secured a win.

The Gauteng Women’s Development League games have gotten off to a great start, with the Panorama Ladies hosting Hellenic Falcons Football Club (FC) on Sunday, March 23.

The matches kicked off in the morning with the U14 teams gearing up to go head-to-head against their opponents and secure a win. The U15 and U17 teams would later play against the competing teams. Vice-chairperson of Panorama FC, Ashley Mulligan, explained how hard the girls have been working since the season started. Mulligan adds that during the trials last December, several exceptionally talented players were recruited, bringing a new and fresh skill to the teams.

The first half saw the U17 girls playing a heated ping pong game with the Hellenic Falcons, battling for their first goal. The Falcons secured their first goal after a tussle between their striker and the Panorama goalkeeper in the penalty box after a corner kick just before the end of the first half..

During half-time, both coaches spoke briefly to the teams about what they could improve for the second half and ensured they gave it their all for the remaining 45 minutes. The second half was a massive improvement for Panorama as they secured two goals, ending with a 3–1 win against the Falcons.

The women celebrated their victory with big smiles and cheers from the crowd as they did their warm-down routine and stretches. Panorama is placed seventh on the log with three points and a two-point goal difference from the teams currently in the top five.
